Medical :Weak newborn puppy what to do

If you have a puppy that is not thriving, acting weak, and looks thin.. try sugar water, use an approprite syringe for the sized puppy.. ie when dealing with teacup sized use a tuberculosis syringe, drop sugar water on there tounge, if they begin to lick, see if they well nurse on the syringe itself.. if so, let them draw on it while you SLOWLY push the sugar water in.. Aspiration is very common  and difficult to do this without that happening which will develop into pneumonia  killing the pup.

If at all possible help the pup to nurse, that is the best choice, however if they are failing to thrive, it is better to take a chance to save them, than to do nothing.. Keep in mind that nature knows when somthing is wrong and so does the Mother, you will often see the Mother push this one aside while she tends to the stornger ones.. it is not personal, it is nature.. dont over think it and get caught up on that.. just do the best you can and should you see a bubble in there nose you know there is some aspiration.. stop and give them time to see if they start to perk up, keep them warm, cuddled into the Momma’s fur.

If the sugar water seems to help the baby to get more active, you can move to nursing formular, not too hot, not too cool, doing it the same way.. repeat every few hours and check on them often to see if they are beginning to respond.. as soon as they begin to nurse stop feeding and let Momma take over.. there is nothing like nature to know what to do..

Sometimes this is all it takes to get the baby back on track, and sometimes it does not work,.

Making Homemade Dog Food

My dogs eat Natural -26 and homemade dog food, here’s why.. I want them to have the best and be healthy! I spend much time in the kitchen with them watching patiently for me to get there dog food done.. I use commercial dog food and add the home made to it.. The English Bulldogs are large, and putting them on homemade helps, but it still would need other things added to it if it were the only thing you are feeding..l (3) All of my dogs LOVE the homemade dog food and are given a chock full ice cream scoop daily into there food.. here is how I make it..
4 cups of water, add 2 cups long grain rice
1/2 lb mixed wegtables ie carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, or canned pumpkin
1 can chicken chunks in water 13 oz
cook the rice, and dump into a large bowl, open chicken add water from the can into rice, put chicken into food processor.. and grind it small.. dump into rice and mix well..
take 1/2 pound of vegtables cooked.. place in food processor and grind.. add to mixture.. mix well.. thats it folks.. cover and refrigerate the rest.. good for about 3 days if it will take longer to use it up you can freeze it in containers.
fresh or fresh frozen vegetables should be used rather than canned.. less salt
fresh chicken can be used too.. boil it, cook it.. grind it..
Rice can be Brown which is the best for them, followed by Jasmine, then white

Hope this helps.. the pic is of 2 of my past English.. the big Red and White was Big Momma who has passed on, and her son red with white face Dozer who has passed on.. Piggy is a baby in this picture.. sure brings back memories.. of joy and heartache.. but where would we be is we did not feel?

Feeding your new Puppy

Puppies love to eat, and keeping feeding time a positive experience is very important! If possible keep food down, if you have a Piggy then you may need to measure it out a bit.. Good food is essential to growth and health, stay away from corn fillers if you are raising any kind of Bulldog.. they generally are allergic and will soon develop skin issues, hair loss and itching..
